Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 02 November 2026
Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related digital resources offered through glowtivo. The site provides an informative resource dedicated to audiovisual production excellence, covering broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering, and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. All transactions for course access, subscriptions, or bundled materials fall under this policy. It does not cover physical goods or third-party services unless explicitly stated at checkout.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate is included where applicable for consumers within the United Kingdom. International customers may incur additional import duties or local taxes upon purchase, which are the responsibility of the buyer. No hidden fees apply to standard course access, but optional add-ons such as extended support or certification may incur extra charges clearly shown before payment confirmation.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers where available. All payments are authorised in real time through secure third-party processors compliant with PCI DSS standards. Card details are never stored on our servers. Authorisation occurs immediately upon submission, and transactions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols to protect sensitive information during transmission.
Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed
Upon successful payment, you will receive an email confirmation containing order details, access instructions, and a unique reference number. A binding contract is formed when we send this confirmation email. Until then, no obligation exists on either party. Course access is granted electronically shortly after confirmation, subject to availability of the digital platform.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase to cancel without providing a reason. This right applies to digital content only if you have not started downloading or accessing the material. For ongoing subscriptions, cancellation can be made at any time, effective at the end of the current billing cycle.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available within the 14-day period if the course has not been accessed. Once you begin viewing or downloading content, the right to cancel is lost. Non-refundable items include promotional bundles, customised materials, and any services already rendered such as live webinars. Subscriptions cancelled mid-term receive pro-rata refunds only at our discretion for hardship cases.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us via the form on the Contacts page or email enquiries@altech.ac.uk. Provide your order reference, full name, and reason for the request. Include proof of purchase if requested. Requests must be submitted within the applicable period. We aim to acknowledge receipt within two working days.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision
Each request undergoes review to confirm eligibility, including verification of access logs. Approval or rejection is communicated by email within 10 working days. If rejected, reasons and any appeal options are explained. Approved refunds proceed to processing without further action required from you.
Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit card refunds typically appear within 5-10 working days, while PayPal refunds process in 3-5 working days. Bank transfers may take up to 14 days depending on your provider. We notify you once the refund has been initiated.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers Where Relevant
Digital courses are non-returnable once accessed due to their nature. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the same cancellation rules unless stated otherwise at purchase. No refunds apply to time-limited access codes or bundled resources used in part.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments result in order cancellation and no access granted. Duplicate charges are investigated upon report and refunded promptly if verified. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to account suspension pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity prompts immediate account review and reporting to relevant authorities where necessary, with no liability for legitimate users.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations. These rights cannot be excluded or limited. In cases of conflict, statutory protections take precedence over this policy.
Contact Route, Policy Changes, and Last-Updated Date
For queries, use the contact form on our Contacts page or reach enquiries@altech.ac.uk. We may update this policy periodically to reflect legal changes or operational adjustments. The current version is dated 02 November 2026 and supersedes all prior versions. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
